Thanksgiving Dinner?

No, it's not Thanksgiving Dinner but it sure was good.
I haven't posted in a while but I was waiting for some new pictures which I haven't received yet - so this will have to make up for the turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy and pumpkin pie.
Remember all those wonderful dinners we used to have at Grandma's - the fun!!

Welcome to Eagle Grove, IA

Those of us who grew up in Eagle Grove, which was most of us, we all know the wonderful part of sitting at all the railroad crossing. I think half of our life was spent waiting for the trains coming and going. I don't miss that action at all!

This was the first trip to Iowa for Patti and she couldn't get over the harvest moon hanging low in the sky - typical Iowa evening when the harvesting starts.

What a hoot - everyone in the same places, except with the addition of Monica and Jeff. It took forever to get everyone in the right places - but it was accomplished with much laughter.
And Lisa resurrected the glasses for the perfect look!!

Time to kick things in gear!

Time is getting close, there are a lot of arrangements yet to be made. Please get your pictures in to Chris Jorgensen, either send him copies or scan and email to c.jorg@cox.net as soon as you can. It takes time to put these together for a slide show with music and he wants to do a good for our enjoyment.
If you haven't sent your money in to Chris Umthun or Ann Schriver, please do that as well, remember $75 for an individual; $100 for family. This money is being used for the rental of the country club and meal that evening, along with several other activities that will be announced in the next Newsletter. (Isn't Chris Umthun doing a great job on the Newsletter? And thanks to Cindy Black for running and mailing. Chris and Ann for doing all the leg work with the Goldfield Country Club and lining up people who will be instrumental in making this week-end a sure success!) As you can see, it takes a joint effort and it has been great working with Chris, Ann, Cindy and Chris Jorgensen.
This will be a very fun filled week-end and a time to meet and greet your extended family that you may not have seen in a long, long time. Or maybe this will be the first time to meet everyone, so come prepared to have a GREAT TIME.
